Nevertheless, we wanted to make sure you knew about one of our most popular services – custom drug panel tests to fit your company’s needs. We like to think it doesn’t have to be rocket science. MCC offers a variety of drug testing methods that are non-invasive and we dare say, can be collected quickly and easily. The primary testing methods include urine, breathalyzer, hair, and/or saliva for testing. Not only can our company customize drug test panels to suit your needs, but we also provide training and support for businesses that want to implement drug testing programs.
Generally, to customize a drug test panel, you need to know the common drugs or drug types in your industry. Additionally, you must know the legal requirement(s) for drug testing in your state. Finally, be knowledgeable of the specific job functions and safety concerns impacting all of your employees.
We breakdown the most common drug test panels here (food for thought if you aren’t sure what to consider):
• 5-panel drug test: Tests for five of the most commonly abused drugs, including marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, and fentanyl.
• 10-panel drug test: Tests for the same drugs as the 5-panel test, plus benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone, and propoxyphene. (Think Valium, Xanax, sleep aid, seizure prevention, like heroin or opium, synthetic pain treatment drugs.)
• 12-panel drug test: Tests for the same drugs as the 10-panel test, plus methaqualone and ecstasy. (Think sedative, recreational stimulant – increased energy.)
• Alcohol test: Tests for the presence of alcohol in the body using a breathalyzer or urine.
