Post Accident testing should be done with in 8 hours of the incident if possible, however, even if you have a CDL:

DOT Post Incindent/Accident Drug Screening is to be done when a vehicle is involved and includes one or more of the following:

  • A fatality
  • Personal injury requiring medical aid
  • Vehicle needs to be towed due to accident damage
  • Driver received a citation at the scene

If there is not a Drug/Alcohol test preformed within 8 hours of an accident, MCC must receive in writing the reason – PER DOT GUIDELINES
